monster party

i had a feeling this piece would take me a long time to finish as i was working out the sketches. i had no idea how long it would actually take! my work process has slowed down much in the last years. i'm going to have to do a piece that's really loose after this one...
this piece is a commission for a friend of mine. "family ties" (approximately 18"x18")
i'm thinking of making some prints of this one for comic con.
