this piece made it into the 3x3 annual professional show book. the annual will be out sometime in the fall.

la weekly, and upcoming stuff.

this is a full page piece i just did for the current issue of la weekly.the piece ended up running in greyscale, but i thought i'd post it in full color.

i have a few projects i'm working on aside from this, including (hopefully) something for this years comic con which is getting dangerously close. i'll post more info on that stuff as it comes closer.

busy.

these are some of the projects that have kept me busy lately. these first three designs are skateboard designs for a new skate company that is about to launch called Gnarled. i also designed some tshirts, and they are down below. i'll post a link to the products once they are available in case there are any skaters out there interested in getting one of my boards, or anyone that wants a shirt.

it was really great to work for adam at gnarled skateboards. he pretty much gave me complete creative freedom, so i'm really happy with all the final designs.these are the two shirt designs:

i'm having fun with it. i plan on doing much more color pieces soon. i won't leave the black and grey work behind (and i don't think i ever will), but i like to keep things fresh.most of these color pieces i make for the blog will be available for purchase, so feel free to contact me with any inquiries.

a little something.

i realize i haven't posted in a bit, so i'm adding these two pieces i did a few months back.i forgot about them, and i found them tonight.
they don't have anything to do with my upcoming show.

i was wrong. my show is on the 14th.(not the 7th) please re-mark your calendars.this is my first solo show, and it's at black maria gallery. i'll post more on this later. i just wanted to give plenty of notice.

la weekly.again.

i just finished this illustration for this week's upcoming la weekly issue. it is an illustration of a edward gorey themed/absinthe costume party. it was a really fun piece to work on.(i added the sketch to show some of my work process).

here's a little spot i did darrick rainey/jason jones at the la weekly.i worked with darrick on a few projects while he was the art director for the sf weekly. i'm glad to be working with him again, as well as his assistant jason. i'm currently working on another one for next week.

taiwan.

i've been interviewed/featured in a cool design magazine out of taiwan called xfuns. i'm in the issue with some other cool artists, including alex gross.(who was an illustration instructor of mine at art center). my website in the issue was accidently replaced by a different artists site.other than that, i'm very pleased with the outcome.

i'm part of a cool group show coming up in barcelona. once again, my artwork is traveling somewhere that i'd really like to go. my piece is a pretty good size.(24"x24")
