i'll be up in san francisco for the alternative press expo on November 1st and 2nd.if youre going, i'll see you there.if you've never been and youre in sf, you should go.

album cover

for the cover band show at gallery 1988, we were given an album cover and asked to collaborate with the art on the cover.fortunately, i was given one of my favorite albums of all time.(the velvet underground with nico) i had a tough time trying to figure out the best way to add my touch to an already great album cover without ruining it.

this is what i came up with.

in other news, i'll be up in san francisco for the alternative press expo november 1.the following weekend, i'll be in a group show at gallery 1988 in sf.i'll post those pieces after i scan them.there is also a cool show at gallery 1988 in los angeles coming this tuesday, october 7.i'll post the album cover i redesigned for that show as soon as i get an image of that.

i forgot to post this a while back.this is the 10 ft banner i painted announcing "weird al" as a host for next year's crazy for cult show. this is the best picture i could get.

i just worked on a quick project with the band fall out boy.i did the seal below that they are using to help promote their new album.( when i load it through blogger, it takes away the rest of the seal). I put a link to a video down below showing the complete seal on a print being used by the band.thanks to jensen at 1988 for setting this up(and the band, of course).
